Interfaith Alliance of North Dakota is a network of people of diverse faiths and beliefs from across the state working together to build a resilient democracy and fulfill America’s promise of religious freedom and civil rights not just for some, but for all.
We mobilize powerful coalitions to challenge Christian nationalism and religious extremism, while fostering a better understanding of the healthy boundaries between religion and government. We advocate at all levels of government for an equitable and just America where the freedoms of belief and religious practice are protected, and where all persons are treated with dignity and have the opportunity to thrive.
Democracy Not Theocracy
We are countering the threat of authoritarian theocracy in American politics, and continuing our longstanding advocacy for healthy boundaries between religion and government.
Freedom Not Extremism
All Americans should be free to love who they love, be their true authentic selves, make decisions over their own bodies, and practice their faith free from fear.
Education Not Indoctrination
We are ringing the alarm about encroaching Christian nationalism in our public schools, and the threat of growing censorship and book bans in our schools and communities.
